When will we go, where will we go, how long will we be away

Initially we thought of leaving when school returned for Term 1 2023 (late January). However, with all the rain falling in Queensland over the period from February to May 2022, we have now opted to leave after Easter 2023.

We will be doing a very loose figure eight loop. Our intentions are to go along the east coast to Newcastle before heading inland through outback New South Wales and Queensland all the way through to Mt. Isa, and then work our way back to the coast to eventually arrive in Townsville. 

From Townsville the plan is to go north to Cairns, then turn around and go down the east coast of Queensland to the outskirts of Brisbane, where we will again head inland to Moree, before going back to the coast down to Coffs Harbour where we will again go inland and go down the New England Highway to Forbes. From Forbes, we will go east to Bathurst. From Bathurst we will get back on to the Hume Highway with a detour to Canberra, and then back on the Hume Highway to Albury.

From Albury, we will to Bendigo, before going along the Murray River and back to our home.

Our intentions are to be back home early in December 2023.
