Trips

Moorook Weekender (October 2007)

After what seemed to be an eternity, we were finally able to hitch the caravan and have a weekend escape. However there were dramas before we left and whilst we were at Moorook.

Mt Gambier Weekender (September 2007)

Another late posting of a trip Diane had to Mt Gambier in September 2007 with one of her friends.

Darwin Trip (June 2007)

I know its a little late to be posting details of Diane’s trip to Darwin in June nearly at the end of October.
Initially, I thought I’d leave details of any trips made without the caravan of this website, but having had second thoughts, I will now include trips made without the caravan.

Wentworth Photo-Stitch

For the first time I took some photos using the photo-stitch setting on our Canon digital camera. The images were then spliced together to form one larger panoramic image.

Australian Inland Botanical Gardens

On Saturday (10 March 2007) we visited the Australian Inland Botanical Gardens Rose Garden.

River Road Caravan Park

On this trip to Mildura we stayed at the River Road Caravan Park. The caravan park is approximately 6 kilometres from Deakin Avenue along Eleventh Avenue on the way to Merebin.

Mildura Weekender (Mar 2007)

This long weekend (10 March – 12 March, 2007) we will again be going to Mildura. We will be staying at the River Road Caravan Park.

Walker Flat Day Trip

Last weekend we decided to go for a day trip to Walker Flat, a popular spot on the Murray River in South Australia. Whilst there we took some photos.

Burra Weekender (Nov 2006)

We decided that our next trip would be to the South Australian Heritage town of Burra, situated 154 kilometres north of Adelaide, and 186 kilometres west of our home town. We departed on Thursday, 16 November 2006 and returned Sunday, 19 November 2006. This is our travel diary of the trip.

Mildura Weekender (Sep 2006)

This weekend (16 & 17 September, 2006) we went for a quick trip over to Mildura. We stayed at the Calder Caravan Park. On Saturday afternoon we took the 70 kilometre 4WD self-drive tour around the Mungo National Park. The Mungo NP is approximately 110 kilometres from Mildura.
