Finally getting around to adding some fresh content to the website. Firstly, added posts on our USA and Canada trip in September and October. Have yet to upload the photo albums for each leg of the trip. Also created and uploaded a new header image. More to come!
From October 1 through 16, 2013, the United States federal government entered a shutdown and curtailed most routine operations after Congress failed to enact legislation appropriating funds for fiscal year 2014, or a continuing resolution for the interim authorization of appropriations for fiscal year 2014. Regular government operations resumed October 17 after an interim appropriations bill was signed into law.
We celebrated Jasmine’s 18th birthday with a dinner at the Cobdogla Club.
On 14 December 2012 I took delivery of a shiny new 2012 LS Mitsubishi Outlander. Within minutes it was dirty! The heavens above opened up and it was no longer clean.
The Outlander replaced the 2012 Holden Cruze Hatchback.

The river levels are rising, so much so that we could not drive down to Hebel’s Bend.
Having bought a new Pentax Digital SLR last week, what better to do than use it.
The Murray River is flooding for the first time since 1992. Usually we receive between 3,000 – 6,000 megalitres flow per day. Currently flows are around 65,000 megalitres with a peak flow of 90,000 megalitres predictaed for the middle of January 2011.
Over the June long weekend there is a hot air ballooning festival conducted in Renmark.
Thanks to lots of hard work, we now have a new front yard. Last week we had a bobcat come in and scrap away the old yard.
